Even with the slow start, the plot was more than enough to keep my interest. This anime is usually compared to the series "Chaos;Head" and "Steins;Gate" because they share the same source series of visual novels. One of the things in which this series differs positively from the other anime i just mentioned is that its plot is much easier to understand and straight forward then its counter parts. I'm not saying it's an easy to understand series, I'm just saying it's easier to understand than the other two series, whill still keeping the mistery factor that gives you that satisfying feeling when you finally manage to solve it. Just like "Chaos;Head" and "Steins;Gate", the story does take on a darker tone, but it's nowhere near as grim as the other 2 series. Although kind of generic, all the characters are likable and well developed. The romance factor is present in this series, although it really only kicks in the later stages of the anime. Anyway, this anime is worth your time if you're into mistery. You might think that the anime is a mecha anime due to its name but I can assure you that there is no mecha whatsoever.
